Our Managed Live in Care service provides 24/7 care and support in the home for adults and young people in all areas of Sussex. You will have security and peace of mind through the support and assistance of a live in carer staying with you in the familiar surroundings of your own home. We are privileged to help individuals and couples with all the care and support services that they need to continue living in a way that suits them and their families.
We will support you daily within your own home and devise the perfect way of support to suit you; we will visit you at home prior to your care taking place to ensure we send someone you are compatible with. We understand the importance of continuity of care, so our support workers usually work for at least four weeks at a time, before taking a short break, which means that they really get to know you as a person and also what makes you feel comfortable and secure. Our live in care workers support hundreds of elderly people, caring for them and enabling them to stay independent, assisting them with their daily routine. As needs and interests change our care staff will adapt the support to what is required. They will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself. Our live-in carers will undertake, within reason, whatever you and your family want and need them to help with.
Sunshine Care provides 24 hour care in your local area. We are able to supply you with a care support worker or Personal Assistant to live with you in your home. This companionship will keep you independent and mentally stimulated, especially if you choose a Live in Carer who will stay with you a number of weeks.

Free Care Assessment
After the initial contact, we will visit you in your own home in Wiltshire, or in hospital, to assess your live in care needs. A consultant from our Live in Care Salisbury team will come to you at your convenience; and together with you, will make a list of your care requirements.
We will review your medical conditions, your medication, your support needs, nutrition and diet preferences, live in carer accommodation, etc.
If you have pets who need caring for that is fine too.

National network of Crossroads Schemes give carers time to be themselves and have a break from their caring responsibilities. Trained carer support workers provide practical help usually in the home.

This organisation will help with a Carer’s assessment, a Needs assessment, making complaints, Direct payments, Care standards and getting advice from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Activities in Wiltshire
Visit Salisbury Cathedral: Be inspired by the peace and beauty of one of Britain´s finest medieval cathedrals. It is surrounded by museums and historic buildings. There are tranquil Italian gardens at Iford Manor in Bradford on Avon.
Worth a day visit is Lacock Abbey, founded in1232 and was then converted into a country house in the mid 16th century. You will see evidence of the Abbey cloisters and monastic rooms.
The live in care worker that we assign to you will be able to accompany you to some of your favourite places in your area, you may wish to attend a choral evensong at Salisbury Cathedral – this takes place every day and is a concert in itself, Stroll around Salisbury’s medieval city centre or Cathedral Close and admire the huge variety of architecture, Spend the day bird watching at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Langford Lakes Nature Reserve or Visit Downton Moot – an 18th century landscape garden in a lovely setting beside the River Avon.
