Our Managed Live in Care service provides 24/7 care and support in the home for adults and young people in Cornwall and surroundings areas, including Bodmin, Falmouth, Helston, Liskeard, Newquay, Penzance, Saltash, St. Austell, St. Ives and Truro.
You will have security and peace of mind through the support and assistance of a live in carer staying with you in the familiar surroundings of your own home. We are privileged to help individuals and couples with all the care and support services that they need to continue living in a way that suits them and their families. As needs and interests change our live-in care staff will adapt the support to that is required. They will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself. We tailor our service specifically for you.
If you have a car they can help you with travel to and from social events, day centers, work or college. You remain completely in control at all times. We will visit you at home prior to your care taking place to ensure we send someone you are compatible with. We would be happy to take you to any of your favourite places in the local area whether that is the stunning Truro Cathedral, a visit to the Royal Cornwall Museum or a stroll along the River Fal. We would be happy to fulfil as many of your personal wishes that we can. Our live in carers do not wear uniforms and will be Companions to you. We also support the younger person with learning or physical disability. Again here your live-in support worker can accompany you as you go about your daily life.
We understand the importance of continuity of care, so our support workers usually work for at least four weeks at a time, before taking a short break, which means that they really get to know you as a person, learning what makes you feel comfortable and secure. As needs and interests change our live-in care staff will adapt the support to that is required. They will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself. We tailor our service specifically for you.

Free Care Assessment
After the initial contact, we will visit you in your own home in the Bristol region, or in hospital, to assess your live in care needs. A consultant from our Live in Care Bristol team will come to you at your convenience; and together with you, will make a list of your care requirements.
We will review your medical conditions, your medication, your support needs, nutrition and diet preferences, live in carer accommodation, etc.
If you have pets who need caring for that is fine too.

Having heard your requirements we will send you a number of Live in Care carer’ profiles so that you can select the perfect companion for you. The care package can be quickly arranged and can start within a few days or at your leisure.
Our care workers support hundreds of elderly people, caring for them and enabling them to stay independent, assisting them with their daily routine or s a younger person with learning or physical disabilities, your live-in support worker can accompany you as you go about your daily life. Penzance, looks out over Mount’s Bay and St Michael’s Mount. Truro, the only city in Cornwall, is the main shopping hub, with small, independent shops hidden away down narrow back streets.
The pace of living in Cornwall is relaxed. The people are warm and welcoming.
As needs and interests change our live-in care staff will adapt the support to what is required. They will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself. Our live in carers will undertake, within reason, whatever you and your family want and need them to help with. You will find that many of our support workers have a driving licence and have their own cars.

You can feel secure with the fact that Sunshine Care is an established company and is family owned by Susie and Paul Constantine, Susie is a RGN qualified Nurse and Paul handles the business side and also has many years’ of care experience. We ensure that we tailor our service specifically for you.
The live in carer will live with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and do the housework, shopping, meal preparation, personal care and anything else that you need. Each person’s needs are different; but we are very flexible and ready to help you maintain your daily routines.

A live in care services can be set up swiftly, within 48 hours, if an emergency situation arises at home. Sometimes live in care is needed urgently, not just to cover a holiday period, but also when there is sickness, stress, or some other emergency situation.
In these situations we will do everything in our power to ensure that your needs are assessed to ensure that there is a swift transition into the appropriate live in care package.
