Personal care and support from 30 minutes to 24 hour care, seven days a week.
Most of our community care service users need help during the day in getting up, washed and dressed in the morning and vice versa at night. Some people will need help preparing meals; and may like company whilst they eat. Each client is individual and will be treated as such, with empathy and respect. We encourage independence in every way that is possible, as everyone deserves being treated with dignity.
Our Plymouth Home Care service is for people who need short daily care visits at home, with help when needed through the day or evening.
We are pleased to cover care in Plymouth, delivering personal care to each person exactly what care is needed to live at home as comfortably as possible.
How does it work ?
Daily care provides care for individuals and couples in their home anywhere upwards from 30 minutes.
As soon as someone makes contact with us and explains briefly what care is required we will arrange for a visit to you, wherever you are, to assess the level of care that is appropriate for independent living.
The next step is to provide you with a suitable carer to match your desired outcomes and requirements; and as soon as you are happy to proceed the community home care package can be put into place.
Who is Home Care for?
We provide personalised Care and Companionship, for the Elderly, the Young, Physically Disabled, and those with Learning Difficulties, both in a private and supported living environment. We support those in need of complex care, those
who are dying and in need of palliative care, and we are dementia specialists. Our daily care staff can visit people within their own homes in the community, or in hospital before discharge, in order to discuss an individual’s daily care needs prior to the introduction of a suitable carer.
Possible transition to 24 hour live-in care
It is always possible to get further daily care help as required. Sometimes both
individuals and couples find that they need more care support services as time goes on and may decide to transfer to a live in care package where a carer companion comes to live in the house with you so that you can enjoy full time personalised live in care.
We are here for you seven days a week.
Contact us and we will arrange an assessment of your daily care with you and listen to your needs.
Care home alternative
This kind of home care support service, in Plymouth, is a viable alternative to moving to a care home with all the disruption that it demands. With live in care at home individual attention can be provided which can be much more difficult in a care home environment. Plymouth Home Care provides a positive balance. However, if you wish to stay in a residential home, The Retreat, is located on the edge of Plymouth and is an historic stately home with large grounds.
Flexibility in changing circumstances
We are very flexible and will change your daily care package when you ask us to, at short notice. Our person-centred approach ensures that we adapt ourselves around you as you articulate your needs, either verbally or in some other way that suits you. Circumstances change, where care is concerned, and you may well wish to adjust your care plan as time goes on.
