Living in Plymouth

Plymouth is a city located on the south shoreline of Devon, England. The city has a rich past associated with the Roman Empire. Its recorded history goes back to the Bronze Age, when a first settlement rose at Mount Batten.

The  lighthouse on Plymouth Hoe is the landmark of the South West.  The current estimated population of our Ocean City is just over 260,000 people.

Plymouth is  home to the world’s biggest aquarium in the spectacular National Marine Museum.  There is the historic Buckland  Abbey and estate, dating back to the 13th century, in nearby Yelverton.  It was once the home of Cistercian monks and the Elizabethan seafarers Drake and Grenville.

Our live in carers can take you to the Barbican to shop or to view the boats.

As needs and interests change our live-in care staff will adapt the support to what is required. They will not take over things that you can and want to do yourself. Our live in carers will undertake, within reason, whatever you and your family want and need them to help with.  You will find that many of our support workers have a driving licence and have their own cars.
