Building Bridges From Hospital

Building Bridges From Hospital

What a transformation from a year ago!

Janet had been in and out of hospital over a period of time, which was most unsettling. Suffering from anxiety is not easy; it leaves one constantly on the edge of worry and is worse at night, which seems endless when alone.

Janet was anxious and worried about returning home to be on her own. She hated being alone at night and having been with many other people in hospital the thought of being home alone was more than disturbing. Moreover she couldn’t manage with personal care like the shower and other domestic duties, so going home felt pretty impossible. How relieved she was when Janet’s social worker told her about sunshine care and the possibility of Live in services.

How relieved Janet felt when she met Daska from Sunshine who had come to asses her needs and to make sure that everything was in place for a happy live in care package. She felt so at home with Daska and made an immediate bond with her. “Daska is so helpful; she’s cheerful and amusing which helps to put me at my ease, and I know that I am able to call on her if I am worried at any time” says.

Each of Janet’s carers has helped her live a confident and independent life as far as possible. They cook; keep her company and stress free, especially at night.

Janet feels that she would recommend Sunshine Care to anyone. “I’m considering myself to be so lucky” she says as she cuddles her darling Poodle Pippin; “he can be around now with support of care”.
