Providing the best possible care

...in your own home in the South West

United Kingdom Home Care Association

Family-owned agency

Care of the elderly in their own homesSunshine Care is a family-owned business that provides care in the home in the South West of England. We respond to the needs of our clients 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, allowing them the best quality of life possible. We are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate.

Live-in Care and Domiciliary Care

We provide two categories of care, Domiciliary Care and Live-In Care. Domiciliary Care is for clients who need help occasionally throughout the day but not continuously. Care Assistants will visit you for example for an hour, twice a day. Live-in care is for clients who need continuous care for varying lengths of time. Care Assistants will live with you in your own home or travel with you on holiday.

Well trained and carefully selected care-assistants

Our team of care assistants are carefully interviewed, references obtained and police checked and trained before being placed with a client. The training for employed care workers consists of a 4 day supervised induction which includes first aid, health and safety, infection control, abuse, care overview and shadowing out in the field with an experienced care assistant.

Free assessments for our clients

Unlike some agencies we do not charge a fee for live-in care assessments. Domiciliary care assessments are also free.

We use this time to assess the level of care that you need and to get to know you. This way we can match the most suitable care assistant to each client.

Social Work Professionals

Nearly half of our clients are supported directly or indirectly by the statutory sector. We are familiar with different methods of financing care packages.
