Sunshine Care is a family-owned business that provides the best possible specialist 24 hour care service for those who live in their own home in the UK counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Avon, Dorset and Wiltshire. Our english speaking carers, who are qualified and trained professionals, support the needs of our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing them the best quality of life possible. We are members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, (UK HCA). The costs to you can be as little as £64 per day for a self-employed Companion Housekeeper on our Live-in Care Gold service; and from £73 per day for a Personal Assistant (PA) providing personal care, (including agency charges).

Value for money: We may be one of the cheapest care providers of companions and care workers, but other companies cannot match our quality value, considering the attention and administration support we provide to our clients, our care staff and personal assistants.

Live-in Care and Domiciliary Home Care

We provide two categories of specialist care: Domiciliary HomeCare and 24 hour Live In Care.

Domiciliary Home Care is for clients who need help, care or companions, occasionally throughout the day, but not continuously for 24 hours a day. Care Assistants will visit you, for example, for an hour twice a day.

24 hour Live-in Care is for clients who need continuous care or companions for two or more weeks. Care Assistants will live with you in your own home or travel with you on holiday.

We only offer well trained and carefully selected care support workers. We mainly recruit in the UK to ensure that we intoduce carers or companion housekeepers who have good english speaking skills. Our team of carers, support staff and Personal Assistants ( PA's) are carefully interviewed, have first class references, and are police checked and trained before being placed with a client. The training for employed care workers, and self-employed PA's, consists of a 4 to 5 day supervised induction which includes first aid, health and safety, infection control, abuse, care overview and shadowing out in the field with an experienced care assistant.

Free assessments

Free assessments for those clients who decide to use our services. Unlike some agencies we do not charge a fee for live-in care assessments. Domiciliary care assessments are also free. We use this time to assess the level of care that you need and to get to know you. This way we can match the most suitable carer or care support staff to each client.

Social Work Professionals

Nearly half of our clients, who require care at home, are supported directly or indirectly by the statutory sector. We are familiar with different methods of financing care packages. Our carers are carefully matched in terms of skills, personality and experience to the needs of our service users. We endeavour to provide continuity of care with a key carer assigned to each care package, trained in medication, first aid and other key skills. We also find placements and permanent jobs for Health and Social Care professionals seeking new career and job opportunites through Sunshine Personnel. This can be anywhere in the UK.

Quality Assurance, Training and Police Checks

We will not assign care workers or PA’s to clients before they have passed our careful recruitment and vetting process and completed four to five days of intensive training in our sister training company, ACE Quality Training Ltd, passing all their tests.
